The 'swift-cut' technique of chopping allows a user to cut through 3" diameter wet bamboo in a single cut. This technique is dependent on proper weight, balance, and geometry. If a blade is too heavy, light, wide, thin, thick, or straight it will fail the bamboo test. Aranyik is famous for it's rough, traditional design. This machete is not designed for the collector, and is an economical production designed for farmers, landscapers, and arborists, and other similar fields. The wood on the handle may need to be lightly sanded, and the edge may need to be honed. There may be small gaps between the handle scales and tang, and that is not structural, as this is a non-epoxy construction. It is peened pin construction.
